Lynsay Laird

CEO & Head Youth Wellbeing Coach

Since the Penumbra Youth Project closed at the start of 2018 I have been looking for a suitable platform to offer a similar service: evidence based, personable, 1-2-1 and group work for young people. As a youth wellbeing coach my aim is to ensure the foundations of my practice are evidence based, person centred, strengths based and solution focused. I am an accredited NLP practitioner, a member of the Association for Coaching and I have a counselling skills membership with COSCA.

Kaye Forsyth

Director

I have worked in the addictions and mental health field for over eighteen years. My background is in Criminology but I have predominantly worked as a drug and alcohol worker including mental health.

I am currently completing a Masters in Advanced Practice. I have a passion for Recovery and community cohesion which inspired me to create a community development agency; Serendipity Recovery Community Network. I believe Emotional wellbeing is crucial to supporting communities in behaviour change.

Margaret Butler

Director

I am a former social worker (criminal justice and adult social care). I completed a social work placement at a Barnardo’s Young Carer’s Project and also volunteered as a mentor with young people who had offended. Prior to undertaking my social work training I did an HNC in Childcare and Education and worked at a private day nursery in Edinburgh. I have also worked as a support worker for people with dementia. I currently work as a recovery worker (substances) at We Are With You Borders.

I feel very privileged to be on the Board of Youth Wellbeing Coaching CIC and believe that my long career in the social care field will be of benefit to the organisation in my role as the safeguarding officer.

James Nichol

Director

I recently completed the HNC in Social Services and I have lived experience of recovery: both addiction and mental health. I plan to use this knowledge to empower people to maintain their own recovery.

I am on the lived experience sub-group for the new Scottish drug deaths task force and I enjoy networking with other organisations to share knowledge and resources. I am the Health and Safety and Business Development officer.
